BILLETING/HOST FAMILIES
Billeting is a hockey tradition and an integral part of the Elite Hockey Academy. Our student-athletes are between the ages of 15 and 17. They come from throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe to join our program of academic and athletic excellence. Becoming a host family to a player allows these young men the opportunity to pursue their goals of playing hockey at the collegiate and professional level.
As a host family, you will welcome a young man into your home and provide for him a warm environment during their season (Late August-June). The players are uniquely driven and motivated young men who will become like sons, brothers, and nephews to the families they join.
We welcome hockey families, parents with young children, singles, couples or retirees. We work to match each player and host for a fit that will be great for all. They will bring energy and excitement to your home, and you will get to know a great bunch of parents and families that are part of our unique organization.
As a host family you can expect:
A generous monthly stipend
A billeting point of contact for any questions or concerns
Players will likely be traveling overnight most weekends.
Players will provide their own transportation
Opportunity to become a super fan of your favorite player
Players who have a set of strong team implemented curfews and guidelines. Host families are encouraged to create agreed-upon house rules as well.
Students attend school Monday-Friday, unless away for a game.
Ideal host families

Will occasionally attend a home game. These young men will love to play for you!
Be a guide as needed to young men away from home.
We are looking for families to provide a comfortable living environment for our players as they transition away from their parents’ homes for the first time in their young lives. Our staff will be in constant contact with you throughout the season to make sure everything is going well.
